On August 23, 2025, COMMEDIA WORKSHOP '25 took place, where SDE took center stage as one of the main characters.

To begin with, one of the new members of the sub-organization, a videographer, was interviewed to share their experience.

According to Jeah Sabido Donggo, she joined SDE because she believed it was one of the skills she was able to do. She also mentioned how she felt like her lack of knowledge about journalism influenced her decision to join. When asked to rate, Jeah gave SDE a 10, saying everything was explained nicely and materials were provided during the workshop.

On the other hand, SDE Director Val Malayao stated in an interview that the workshop was a way for all juniors to learn. At the same time, they gain experiences and quality of knowledge on how to do their tasks and how to execute and produce quality output. Malayao also made a point on how it wasn’t merely a workshop because whatever is taught there can be used to apply in future events.

Rating the workshop on a scale of 1 to 10, the SDE Director gave it a 7. Malayao explained, “Seven, kasi goods naman yung flow namin and wala namang naging problem, siguro iyong 3 when it comes sa mga bagong members na ‘di pa masyadong nakikipag cooperate pa so far.” They added that despite having a few members who are not very cooperative, they remain hopeful for those who actually attended to learn. They also reiterated how attending this kind of workshop is a good opportunity to practice the skills learned as BACOMM students. But regardless of it, all in all, they said that everything was good, and that they were happy that the senior members have this kind of opportunity to teach their junior members.

Malayao expressed appreciation for how most of the SDE Team were composed of senior members who stayed, despite already having experienced the hardships and pressures of production. Aside from that, they also felt gratitude for the new members who chose SDE, and tried to be interested and participative enough to help the sub-organization be successful. Apart from being thankful, Valayao felt pride, saying, “At the end of the day, magkakaroon tayo ng maayos na output sa buong organization, at the same time, quality.”
